Céad Míle Fáilte ~ A Hundred Thousand Welcomes!

Here we seek a rest in the shade, some cool water and a little kindness. This blog is dedicated to peace, truth, justice and a post- industrial, post-petroleum illumined world in spite of all odds against it. I very much like the line about the ancient knight (see poem below) "His helmet now shall make a hive for bees" It is reminiscent of "beating swords into ploughshares" a sentiment I heartily approve of. Thank you for visiting ~ I hope you return!

Praying For Aisha

On this Feast of All Saints one only can sigh and pray that this child of only 13 summers, a rape victim stoned to death for adultery, finds her Creator to be a more merciful one that that of her countrymen. A sobering look at a culture of authoritarian rule. Let those who wish for more power in government and stricter punishments for law breakers read and then rethink their wishes. Where are the Muslim clerics who advise these militants? All asleep? Or all fanatics themselves? One can't open a journal or a newspaper without reading that Islam is in reality a religion of peace. Where are these peaceful ones?

Please join me in a prayer for the soul of little Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow.

St. Luke 17:1-2
1 And he said to his disciples: It is impossible that scandals should not come: but woe to him through whom they come. 2 It were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Let us pray. O Lord Jesus Christ, once You embraced and placed Your hands upon the little children who came to You, and said: "Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, and their angels always see the face of my Father!"

Bless the soul of thy handmaid Aisha and bring her to a place of verdure, a place of rest, a place of peace, where there is no mourning nor weeping, but life everlasting.
Amen.
